Maine Adventure

This summer, the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) is featuring works of Childe Hassam, an  American impressionist in the 1800's. Some of his paintings that realy struck me were the sea cliffs of New England. I thought what great climb sites they would be.  Well, my impressions were validated by our recent trip to the Acadia National Park in Maine.

The climbing areas in Acadia are mostly found in Mount Desert Island, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.  Otter Cliffs, The Precipice and Great Head were the top of the list; we only went to the first two.

The more I see climbing places like Otter Cliffs, the more I get inspired to do more vertical adventure.  You climb and you get spectacular views at the same time.
