| . | Web Designing Designing a web page is like writing. It involves a lot of editing-revising,proofreading the scripts and formatting . Today, I continued working on a gallery site, changing colors, resizing an image, and adding more inside scripts. My work on the web is never finished. I always go back to the ones I have started making necessary changes, whether they're functional or creative(?). Recalling the pre-web work, my husband was the one who encouraged me to try web construction. He helped me set up my personal homepage, and from there I carried on. Other pages came one after another, but producing them did not happen overnight. Just as some people view writing, web designing is a process; it involves time and stages. Producing web layouts and reading other resources from books/on-line are part of the whole process, and during the course of it is a discovery of other people's work and creativity. I have a great appreciation of what others have done in the field graphic design and development. To date, I am continuously in exploration of where I fall or stand. Even though, I have done a number of pages of online work, I don't address myself as a web designer or a webmaster. Perhaps, the title does not matter to me. I'm just happy producing something in the end. The work gives me a sense of completion and space for creativity. April 20, 2002 |
